Taranaki Maunga Pendant
A pendant inspired by Taranaki Maunga, handcrafted in sterling silver.
Inspired by Hikurangi Maunga, this sterling silver pendant honours one of Aotearoa's most significant and treasured landscapes. Located in Te Tairāwhiti on the East Coast of the North Island, approximately 80km north of Gisborne, Hikurangi is of deep spiritual and cultural importance to Ngāti Porou. Standing within the Raukūmara Range, it is the highest non-volcanic peak in the North Island and is renowned as one of the first places in Aotearoa to greet the rising sun. This pendant features a detailed topographic representation of the Raukūmara Range, with Hikurangi Maunga standing at its centre, celebrating the whenua and the stories held within it.
